Dean David Alan

SEPTEMBER 17, 1953 – SEPTEMBER 2, 2021

Dean D. Alan of St. Clair Shores, age 67, passed away on September 2, 2021. Beloved husband to Debra for 41 years. Cherished father to Jamie (Jimmy) Bezy and Suzanne (Sean) Collins. Adored grandfather to 4. Loving brother to Cedric Alan.Dean was born on September 17, 1953 to the late Marc J. Alan and the late Gertrude “Trudy” Alan. He attended Central Michigan University for his undergraduate Bachelor’s of Science degree, Cum Laude, and also attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law to earn his Juris Doctor Degree. Dean worked for the County of Macomb as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for 40 years.

Dean loved sports and traveling, but most of all he loved his family. Dean, along with his family and friends, would head up-north throughout the summer months to Van Etten Lake in Oscoda.

Visitation for Dean will be on Friday, September 10th, from 1 PM until 9 PM with a prayer service at 8:30 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. Dean will lie instate at 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon on Saturday, September 11th, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dean’s name can be made to ALS of Michigan, Hospice of Michigan, or Project Main Street.

thanks I am currently 67. I have been having problems for over 1 year with my left side of my body

after a year of test I ended up at u of m and was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig disease aka ALS limb onset

u of m says I have 2 to 10 years to live more like 3 to 5............

I hope to have someone post my obit.....................I was in key west at SUNSET KEY COTTAGES last month for 7 days

next month ft Myers for 10 days

I had to cancel a Vegas trip. I have been 100 times hopefully one more in June

Rip Charliepeete. You were a great guy. Loved reading his posts for the last 15 or so years. Loved those first 3 inning plays and was pretty damn good at it. My condolences to his friends and family, heaven gained a great guy!
